Freshwater uses several types of devices for different projects. The following troubleshooting steps are for SoC (System on a Chip) screens. These devices are frequently used for menu boards, directories, and other simple setups. If your screen doesn't have a media player or other devices hooked up, it's likely a Zeta Screen.
Screen Showing No Signal
- Reboot the screen using the following methods:
- Use an LG remote to turn the screen off, then back on. If unsuccessful, move to next step.
- Use the power button on the screen to turn the screen off and back on. If unsuccessful, move to next step.
- Unplug the screen from power for about 10 seconds then plug it back in.
- After the reboot, if the screen is still showing No Signal after a few minutes, try using an LG remote and pressing the home button. You should see the ZetaDisplay Application as an option. Select ZetaDisplay.
- If the screen is failing to open Zeta upon reboot frequently, you can check your settings using the steps below:
- Press the Gear (Settings)
- Go to EZ Settings
- Select the Purple Icon called "SI Server Settings"
- Make sure Application Launch Mode is set to Local
- Save settings and reboot
Screen Black and Not Showing Content
- Reboot the screen using the following methods:
- Use an LG remote to turn the screen off, then back on. If unsuccessful, move to next step.
- Use the power button on the screen to turn the screen off and back on. If unsuccessful, move to next step.
- Unplug the screen from power for about 10 seconds then plug it back in.
- If the screen is not powering on, try holding down the power button for 30 seconds.
- Confirm the outlet is working by trying to plug something else in.
- Confirm the power cable is securely in place in the back of the screen.
- Confirm that you have content scheduled for your screen. Refer to the Zeta Scheduling article for assistance.
